Pasifika Festival

Pasifika Festival

Normally held around March at Western Springs in Auckland this is an annual event.

The Pasifika Festival is a Pacific Islands-themed festival held annually in Western Springs Reserve, Auckland, New Zealand. Celebrated since 1993, it is the largest festival of its type in the world and attracts over 200,000 visitors every year. This is a must see and don’t just go for one day either.

The event is set up as separate villages so you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, food, performing arts, and craft stalls of our closest Pacific neighbours.

The event normally hosts about four hundred traditional and contemporary performances to see.

Fiji, Niue, Tonga, Samoa, Kiribati, Tokelau, and more are represented. Meet the people that make our All Blacks and Warriors teams so amazing.

What I like most at these events, is simply walking around people watching and eating. Yes, what a place for food. Starve yourself the day before so you can taste more of the street food delicacies.

This is a free event to enter, so you have no excuse not to go and have a fun time.

You won’t meet friendlier people in the world.
