Discover Orakei Korako: New Zealand’s Geothermal Wonderland

Orakei Korako is a stunning natural marvel, showcasing four captivating silica terraces: The Emerald Terrace, The Rainbow, The Cascade, and The Golden Fleece. The Emerald Terrace, the lowest of the terraces, boasts up to 20 million liters of silica-enriched water flowing over it daily, creating a vibrant display of colors.

While many visitors are drawn to the geysers and terraces, the true gem is The Raputu Cave (Sacred Hole), one of only two known geothermal field caves in the world. The "Raupatu" descends over 35 meters to The Pool of Mirrors (Waiwhakaata), where you can admire its perfectly clear, warm acidic waters.

Your visit will also include spectacular views of active mud pools and geysers, making for a truly immersive geothermal experience.
