The World of Cambridge

The World of Cambridge

Cambridge is known as “the town of trees and champions”.

It's beautiful heritage buildings in the oak tree lined streets, it's great array of antique shops and the thoroughbred horse studs nearby. They have produced champions such as the legendary Sir Tristram who sired 45 prize winners including the late great Empire Rose.

From when I was a little boy living in Hamilton, I always knew I had arrived in Cambridge once I saw the beautiful St Andrews Anglican Church  pictured.

Cambridge is a beautiful town to visit. Less than 20 minutes from Hamilton, it boasts great Farmers Markets every Saturday and Sunday. Once a year they have an Antique Fair which is a great event to go to. There is always so much on in and around Cambridge, so do you homework before you get there.

Nearby is Lake Karapiro where many National rowing events are held.

National Fieldays is held just down the road at Mystery Creek.

The best Velodrome in New Zealand for training our champions is on the outskirts.

What else?

Cycle ways

Visit the Alpaca Experience.

Equine Tours , Farm Tours..the list is endless.
