Well, I recommend a visit to Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne which is the world’s first fully fenced urban ecosanctuary, with an extraordinary 500-year vision to restore the valley’s forest and freshwater ecosystems as closely as possible to a pre-human state.
Zelandia is not just about tourism. They run educational programmes for schools from Early Childhood to Secondary. Zelandia is situated in Karori which is a hop, step and jump from downtown Wellington.
