Seniors Travel
My SuperGold Card is a must-have travel companion. I wouldn’t leave home without it because it offers incredible value for travelers.
The Upside:
- Petrol Discounts: More common in the South Island, but you’ll find them here and there.
- Food Discounts: Many places offer discounts with the card.
- Entry Fees: Museums, exhibitions, theme parks, and almost anywhere with a door fee offer discounts. My favorite? An extra 5% off at Countdown on Tuesdays, even on sale items.
The Downside:
While the SuperGold Card is great, you often have to ask to use it. Few places advertise it, and you may not hear about it unless you inquire.
What to Do:
- Always Ask: Make it a habit to ask if a discount is available. If not, I simply say, “It pays to ask, you never know,” and smile.
- Check Online: Visit SuperGold’s website regularly to stay updated on offers and plan your travel accordingly.
