L&P Bottle Paeroa
The L&P Bottle in Paeroa is an iconic landmark celebrating one of New Zealand's beloved soft drinks, Lemon & Paeroa (L&P). Located in the small town of Paeroa, in the Waikato region, this giant bottle is a popular photo stop for travelers passing through on State Highway 2.
The beverage was originally created in the early 1900s using the naturally sparkling mineral water from the town of Paeroa, mixed with lemon juice. Though it is now produced elsewhere, Paeroa remains synonymous with L&P, and the oversized replica bottle stands as a tribute to the town’s heritage and its claim to fame.
Visitors can find the large L&P bottle in a small park on the corner of Normanby Road and Princes Street. The quirky landmark has become a symbol of Kiwi culture and is one of New Zealand's most photographed roadside attractions, offering a fun and nostalgic stop on any road trip.
